GRSS Travel Support

We have sent out the Travel Grant notification results to all applicants. Please check your inbox accordingly. All the authors must complete their conference registration by April 30.

The IEEE GRSS is pleased to announce the IGARSS 2026 Travel Scholarship Program. This initiative provides fixed-amount cash awards to support attendees participating in IGARSS 2026 in Washington, D.C.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must satisfy ALL of the following conditions:

  • Be an IEEE and GRSS member
  • Be a first author or presenting author on at least 1 accepted abstract
  • Have not received funding within the last 2 years

Selection Criteria:

Awards are competitive and will be evaluated based on:

  • Scientific Merit: The quality and originality of the accepted paper (review scores will be considered).
  • Applicant's Contribution & Potential: The applicant's role in the paper and their academic/professional trajectory.
  • Impact of Attendance: A compelling statement on how attending IGARSS will benefit the applicant's research or career.
  • Geographic & Diversity Considerations: Efforts will be made to ensure a diverse pool of awardees across institutions and regions.

Important Dates:

  • Application Portal Opens: 1 February 2026
  • Application Deadline: 15 March 2026 22 March 2026
  • Notification of Awards: 15 April 2026 24 April 2026

Award Disbursement:

  • The scholarship will be disbursed as a single lump-sum payment after the conference, contingent upon the recipient's verified in-person attendance and presentation of their paper.
  • Please note: Awardees are responsible for any applicable taxes related to the scholarship according to their local and national laws.
