Presentation Skills Workshop
Event Description: This interactive workshop is designed to help students, researchers, and young professionals improve the way they communicate their research and technical work. Participants will explore key elements of effective scientific presentations, including presentation structure, audience engagement, storytelling techniques, slide design, and strategies for clearly communicating complex ideas.
The workshop will combine practical advice, applied examples, and interactive activities aimed at strengthening participants' communication skills for conferences, thesis defenses, technical meetings, and professional environments. Attendees will gain practical tools that can be immediately applied to scientific and professional presentations.

Young Professionals' Mixer
Event Description: If you are a student, recent graduate, or young professional attending IGARSS 2026, be sure to join us for the IEEE GRSS Young Professionals Mixer!
This exciting networking event will take place at Pinstripes in Washington, D.C., bringing together students, researchers, young professionals, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and experienced members of the GRSS community for an evening of connection and conversation in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
Whether you are attending your first IGARSS or are already an active member of the GRSS community, the Young Professionals Mixer offers a unique opportunity to expand your professional network, exchange ideas, explore research collaborations, learn about career opportunities, and build meaningful connections with colleagues from around the world.
The evening will feature bowling, a variety of heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages, and plenty of opportunities for informal networking and discussion beyond the conference sessions.

3MT™ Competition at IGARSS 2026 - Call for Applications
Event Description: The Three Minute Thesis (3MT™) competition at IGARSS 2026 invites graduate students to present their research in a clear, concise, and engaging way in just three minutes.
Participants are required to submit a 3-minute video presentation as part of the application process.

YP Membership to Leadership
Event Description: This session is dedicated to helping Young Professionals better understand how to actively engage within IEEE and GRSS and grow from membership to leadership roles. Through discussions and experience sharing from active volunteers and leaders, participants will learn about opportunities within the Society, including volunteering, technical committees, conference organization, and leadership pathways.
The session aims to encourage greater participation in the GRSS community while supporting professional and personal growth.

YP How to Publish Your Research
Event Description: This session will provide students and early-career researchers with practical guidance on the scientific publication process. Topics will include how to structure a research paper, select an appropriate journal or conference, respond to reviewers, and avoid common mistakes during submission.
The event will also offer insights into peer review, publication ethics, and strategies for improving the quality and impact of scientific manuscripts.
